The Monitoring Officer informed the meeting that Councillor Derbyshire had said she would not take part in the hearing as she is related to someone involved with management decisions relevant to the matter under consideration.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillor Diouf and Councillor Derbyshire.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Committee carried out a hearing into a complaint about a member of Staveley Town Council following an investigation report.

*RESOLVED -   

That, having considered the investigation report, other written evidence, and those heard during the meeting, the Committee found that there had been no breach of Staveley Town Council’s Code of Conduct.
