Councillor Bellamy declared an interest in Minute No. 184 as the family of the Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver and the family of the passenger were both known to him, and he left the meeting during consideration of this item.

Apologies for absence were received from Councillors Brady and Tom Murphy.

Minutes of the Meetings of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 15 March, 2017.

RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meetings of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 15 March, 2017 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

RESOLVED -

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Officer submitted a report for Members to consider a review of the Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence of Mr Joseph Bernard O’Neill.

Mr O’Neill attended the meeting with his representative.

* RESOLVED –

That Mr O’Neill’s Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be suspended for a period of one month, following which his licence would be for a probationary period of 12 months.
