Minutes of the Meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 23 May, 2018.

RESOLVED –

That the Minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 23 May, 2018 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Committee considered a request from tenants for a review of the Council’s decision to extend an introductory tenancy.

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure. The tenants attended the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That the tenants’ appeal be upheld.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Steven Kerry could proceed.

Mr Kerry attended the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That Mr Kerry’s application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence be allowed to proceed, initially for a probationary period of 12 months, and commencing with 6 penalty points.

That consideration of the application be deferred to the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee to be held on 11 July, 2018.
