Councillor Bellamy declared an interest in Minute No. 122 as he had prior knowledge of the case, and he left the meeting during the consideration of this case.

Councillor Hill declared an interest in Minute No. 122 as one of his relatives may have had contact with the private hire driver, and he left the meeting during the consideration of this case.

An apology for absence was received from Councillor Bingham.

RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 8 August, 2018 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

The Licensing Officer submitted a report for Members to consider a review of the Private Hire Driver’s Licence held by Mr David Peter Whalley.

Mr Whalley attended the meeting.
