The substation requirement was part of the
plans that formed the planning permission granted for the
Enterprise Centre in February 2019 as well as the contract for the
construction of the Enterprise Centre.
Authority delegated to Service Director under G200D "To approve the
siting of electricity sub-stations, gas kiosks and other
installations or equipment of statutory undertakers on Council Land
and to transfer or lease relevant land and grant easements and
rights for that purpose."
That a lease of land at Holywell Cross car
park be granted to Western Power Distribution for a period of 999
years for the provision of a substation to provide power to operate
the new Northern Gateway Enterprise Centre.
