130.	Exemption from Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy and Use of Magnetic Signs (A000) View the reasons why item 130. is restricted View the background to item 130. Minutes: The Licensing Manager submitted a report to consider an exemption from the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy in respect of a request to use promotional magnetic signs in the run up to Christmas 2014 in support of a public safety initiative. * RESOLVED – (1) That an exemption from the Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Licensing Policy be approved to allow the use of magnetic “Who’s taking you home tonight?” signs, with a maximum of one sign to be displayed on the front bonnet of a licensed vehicle. (2) That this exemption be allowed up to and including 5 January 2015, and that a review of the effect of the exemption be undertaken.
