Local Government Act 1972 - Exclusion of Public

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

Minutes:

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraphs 1 and 3 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

15.

Extension of Contractual Hours

Minutes:

The Operations Manager submitted a report seeking approval for an extension of contractual hours.

The report detailed how Chris Preston, Catering Assistant at Queen’s Park Sports Centre, had been working additional hours outside of her contractual hours for multiple years. These hours reflected a rota which covered the opening hours of the café. A reduction to the hours in the rota would lead to a reduction in the opening hours of the café.

As the additional hours being worked were being claimed as overtime the extension of contractual hours would not result in an increased cost for wages. There would be an increased cost relating to annual leave cover and projected sickness cover.

An extension of contractual hours would ensure Chris Preston was paid leave entitlement that was due to her and would lead to a reduction in overtime hours.

*RESOLVED –

That the extension of contractual hours for Chris Preston be approved.

16.

information that the public be re-admiited to the meeting.
