Minutes: *The Committee considered the under-mentioned applications in light of reports by the Development Management and Conservation Manager and resolved as follows:
CHE/25/00100/FUL - Alter the existing timber cladding to a non-combustible timber effect aluminium product at Piccadilly Heights Wain Avenue, Chesterfield.
The Development Management and Conservation Manager presented the report and explained the details of the Planning application where permission is sought to alter the existing timber cladding to a non-combustible timber effect aluminium product.
A variety of concerns had been raised by occupying residents and had been considered non-material considerations for planning purposes. It had been considered that the proposed work is acceptable in regard to design and appearance and residential amenity impacts, particularly in terms of fire safety. There had been no objections from statutory consultees and is in accordance with the policies of the adopted Local Plan.
The Committee considered the report and recommendations. It was moved by Councillor Caulfield and seconded by Councillor Miles that the officer recommendation be upheld.
*RESOLVED
That the officer recommendation be upheld, and the application be GRANTED subject to the conditions outlined in the Officer’s report.
CHE/24/00417/FUL - Change of use from children's care home to a mixed use of a 14-bedroom HMO and an office, with associated alterations to the building and alterations in the grounds including a cycle store, amenity areas and marking of the car park at Fairview House, 95 Sheffield Road, Stonegravels.
The Development Management and Conservation Manager presented the report and explained the details of the Planning application whereby permission is sought for a change of use from a children’s care home to a mixed use 14 bedroom HMO and an office, with associated alterations to the building and alterations in the ground including a cycle store, amenity areas and marking out of the car park. The application had been amended from a 15-bedroom HMO during the application process, with several changes to the layout, external alterations and other clarifications.
In accordance with Minute No. 299 (2001/2002) Ms Tina Harrison (objector) addressed the meeting.

The Committee considered the report and recommendations. It was moved by Councillor Yates and seconded by Councillor Ridgway that the officer recommendation be upheld.

CHE/24/00682/FUL - Erection of a 2-bedroom house at 145 Burnbridge Road, Old Whittington.
The Principal Planner presented the report and explained the details of the planning application where permission is sought for the erection of a 2-bedroom detached house. Representations received are included in the officer’s report and amendments had been made to address the concerns raised and are considered to be in accordance with the policies of the adopted Local Plan.
