That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 14 April, 2021 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider a review of the Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver’s Licence for Kevin Taylor.

Mr Taylor attended the meeting. The item was adjourned for a period to enable the committee to consider agenda item 6.

* RESOLVED –

That Mr Taylor be issued with a formal warning and the 12 penalty points added to his Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver’s Licence be retained.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider a review of the Private Hire Operator’s Licence for Galaxy Travel held by Stephen Lewis.

Mr Stephen Lewis and his representative attended the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That Galaxy Travel be issued with a formal warning and the 12 penalty points added to the Private Hire Operator’s Licence be retained.

That consideration of the application be deferred to the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee to be held at a future date to enable the applicant to attend the meeting.
