RESOLVED –

That the Minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 22 December, 2021 be approved as a correct record and be signed by the Chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(a)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The appeal was not heard as the appellant had withdrawn their appeal prior to the meeting.

The Licensing Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Smith could proceed.

Mr Smith attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Smith’s application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence be refused.

*RESOLVED –

That consideration of the review be deferred to the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee to be held on 16 February, 2022 to provide opportunity for the driver to attend.
