That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee on 3 July 2024 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

Local Government Act 1972 - Exclusion of Public

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

 

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Application for a Hackney Carriage Driver's Licence - Brady Bates

Minutes:

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage/ Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Bates could proceed.

 

Mr Bates attended the meeting.

 

*RESOLVED –

 

That Mr Bate’s application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be allowed to proceed and upon the granting of any such licence, the Licensing team to endorse the license with 8 penalty points under the Council’s Penalty Point Scheme, reducing by 4 points after year 1, 2 points after year 2, reaching 0 points after year 3 provided that no further incidents occur which attract additional penalty points.  

 

12.

Review of Decision to Extend an Introductory Tenancy - Sarah Juby

Minutes:

The Committee considered a request for a review of the decision to extend an Introductory Tenancy for a further 6 months due to anti-social behaviour.

 

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure.  The tenant did not attend the meeting.

 

*RESOLVED –

 

That the 6-month extension to the Introductory Tenancy be upheld.
