RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 8 December, 2021 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Mr Gebremeskel did not attend the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That consideration of the review be deferred to a future meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee to provide opportunity for the driver to attend.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Mohammed could proceed.

Mr Mohammed attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Mohammed’s application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence be allowed to proceed.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Semere-Zekarias could proceed.

Mr Semere-Zekarias attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Semere-Zekarias’s application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence be allowed to proceed.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Ahad could proceed.

Mr Ahad attended the meeting.

That Mr Ahad’s application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence be refused.
