RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 8 November, 2023 be approved as a correct record and signed by the chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether Mr Carver could continue to be a licensed Hackney Carriage driver.

Mr Jamie Carver and Mr Michael Carver attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That taking account of the exceptional circumstances, the application for a Hackney Carriage driver’s licence for Mr Carver be allowed to continue but with the licence endorsed with 6 points, the points diminishing over a two-year period (6 points in the first year, 3 points in the second year and no points in the third year).
