Local Government Act 1972 - Exclusion of Public

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

Application for Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers Licence - Faisal Zahid (A410)

Minutes:

The Licensing Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Faisal Zahid could proceed.

 

Mr Zahid and his representative attended the meeting.

 

* RESOLVED –

 

That Mr Zahid’s application for a Hackney Carriage / Private Hire Driver’s Licence be refused.

Review of a Decision to Terminate an Introductory Tenancy (21 - 18/19) (A090)

Minutes:

The Committee considered a request from a tenant for a review of the Council’s decision to terminate an introductory tenancy.

 

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure. The tenant and her representative attended the meeting.

 

* RESOLVED –

 

That the officers’ decision to seek possession be upheld, but that the Council do not implement the decision to seek possession and begin possession proceedings provided the tenant makes a lump sum payment of £600 on 8 November, 2018 and then payments of the current rent plus £5 per week towards the arrears, until the arrears are cleared.

Review of a Decision to Terminate an Introductory Tenancy (20 - 18/19) (A090)

Minutes:

Pursuant to Minute No. 128 (Appeals and Regulatory Committee) the Committee considered a request from a tenant for a review of the Council’s decision to terminate an introductory tenancy.

 

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure. The tenant attended the meeting.

 

* RESOLVED –

 

That the officers’ decision to seek possession be upheld, but that the Council do not implement the decision to seek possession and begin possession proceedings provided the tenant makes payments of the current rent plus a minimum of £31.78 per month towards the arrears, until the arrears are cleared.
