Minutes:
It was moved by Councillor Ian Callan, seconded by Councillor Shirley Niblock and resolved:
(a) That the best thanks of the Council be accorded to Councillor Gordon Simmons for his services as Mayor of the Borough for the past civic year, for the able manner in which he has directed the affairs of the town and for the deep interest which he has shown in all matters relating to the welfare of the Borough;
(b) That the best thanks of the Council be accorded to Councillor Kate Caulfield for the grace, charm and dignity with which she has undertaken her duties as Mayoress.
