Minutes:

The Service Director – Leisure, Culture and Community Wellbeing presented a report on the draft Play Strategy 2021 – 2026 and sought approval to commence consultation on the draft strategy.

The first Chesterfield Play Strategy was adopted by the Council in 2007. The draft Play Strategy 2021 - 2026 had taken into account the Open Space Assessment commissioned by the Council and would provide direction as to how best to utilise resources. A copy of the draft Play Strategy was attached at Appendix A of the officer’s report.

Consultation on the draft strategy would take place in two phases, the first would be a general consultation which would take place

on the council’s website and the second would involve analysis of the data captured from the general consultation to inform further consultation with key stakeholders.
