Applications to Fell or Prune Trees (P620D)

Minutes:

*The Development Management and Conservation Manager reported that pursuant to the powers delegated to him he had determined the under-mentioned applications in respect of:-

 

 

(a)   The felling and pruning of trees:-

 

CHE/21/00333/TPO

 

Consent is granted to the pruning of 4 Lime trees reference T1, T2, T4 and T5 and 1 Oak tree reference T3 on the Order map for Ken Emery Tree Services on behalf of 2 Somersall Willows, Somersall.

 

CHE/21/00379/TPO

 

Consent is granted to the pruning of one Oak reference T23 on the Order map for Mr Gary McCarthy CBC Leisure Service on behalf of Brampton Rovers FC and Derbyshire County Council at the Sport Field off Newbold Back Lane, Newbold.

 

CHE/21/00307/TPO

 

Consent is granted to the pruning of one Cedar tree reference T36 on the Order map for Mr and Mrs Booth of 303 Ashgate Road, Ashgate.

 

CHE/21/00268/TPO

 

Consent is refused to the pruning of two trees consisting of one Oak and one Blackthorn within G2 on the Order map for Mrs Buckley of 67 Pomegranate Road, Newbold.

 

CHE/21/00291/TPO

 

Consent is refused to the pruning of two trees reference T5 Horsechestnut and T7 Pine on the Order map for Mr Bond of 15 Penmore Lane, Hasland.

 

CHE/21/00369/TPO

 

Consent is refused to the pruning of two Oak trees reference T16 and T17 on the Order map for Miss Moore of 8 Sedbergh Crescent, Dunston.

 


 

(b)   Notification of Intent to Affect Trees in a Conservation Area

 

CHE/21/00398/CA The felling of one Laburnum tree and the pruning of one Sycamore with a replacement Maple planted at 87 High Street, Old Whittington

Agreement to the felling/pruning of trees.  The felling/pruning of the trees will have no adverse effect on the amenity value and character of the area.

 

The trees are within the Old Whittington Conservation Area and the applicant wishes to fell one tree due to splits in the main stem and prune T8 to retain one main stem.

 

CHE/21/00392/CA The felling of one Laurel tree at the Cock and Magpie public house, 2 Church St North, Old Whittington

Agreement to the felling of one Laurel tree.  The felling of the tree will have no adverse effect on the amenity value and character of the area.

 

The tree is within the Old Whittington Conservation Area and the applicant wishes to fell the tree because decay in the main stem.

 

CHE/21/00355/CA The felling of  3 trees referred to as T7 Ash, T9 Oak and T11 Ash and the pruning of trees referred to as T8, T10 and T13 Oak, and T6 and T14 Beech on the sketch plan submitted with the application at 2 Somersall Willows, Somersall

Agreement to the felling/pruning of trees.  The felling/pruning of the trees will have no adverse effect on the amenity value and character of the area.

 

The trees are within the Somersall Conservation Area and the applicant wishes to fell the 3 trees because of Ash dieback and the crowding by other trees of the Oak which has made it a thin and weak tree.

 

The pruning works to 5 trees are general maintenance to crown lift and dead wood.
