RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 4^th October, 2023 be approved as a correct record and signed by the chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Ahad could proceed.

Mr Ahad and his representative attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Ahad’s application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be allowed to proceed and upon granting of any such licence, the Licencing Team to endorse the licence with ten penalty points, reducing by 2 points per year, under the Council’s Penalty Point Scheme. 

Cllr Redihough left the meeting.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Zeeshan could proceed.

Mr Zeeshan and two representatives attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That the application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence for Mr Zeeshan be refused.
