RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 29 November, 2023 be approved as a correct record and signed by the chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether Mr Down’s Private Hire Drivers badge should be suspended in accordance with the Council’s Policy.

Mr Downs did not attend the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Down’s Private Hire Driver’s Licence be suspended until such time that he provides an updated Disclosure Barring Service certificate.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether Mr Idris combined Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Drivers badge should be suspended in accordance with the Council’s Policy.

Mr Idris did not attend the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That Mr Idris’s Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be suspended until such time that he provides an updated Disclosure Barring Service certificate.
