Local Government Act - Exclusion of Public

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

 

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Introductory Tenancy Review

Minutes:

The Committee considered a request from a tenant for a review of the Council’s decision to terminate an Introductory Tenancy.

 

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure.  The tenant did not attend the meeting so was represented by the Derbyshire Law Centre.

 

*RESOLVED –

 

That the Notice of Possession Proceedings be upheld.

 

That the tenant be given an opportunity to pay the current rent and pay the arrears at £20 per month, with the first payment towards the arrears commencing 7th March 2024.

Application for a Private Hire Driver's Licence - Asim Ali

Minutes:

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Asim Ali could proceed.

 

Mr Asim Ali and his Trade Union Representative attended the meeting.

 

*RESOLVED –

 

That Mr Asim Ali’s application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence shall be permitted to continue.

Application for a Private Hire Driver's Licence - Muhammad Rahman

Minutes:

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr Muhammad Rahman could proceed.

 

Mr Muhammad Rahman and his representative attended the meeting.

 

*RESOLVED –

 

That Mr Muhammad Rahman’s application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be refused.
