The Licensing Officer submitted a report for members to consider an application by Stephen Leinster for a sex establishment license for OMG Adult World, 26 Knifesmithgate, Chesterfield, S40 1RF and to consider the manner of signage to be displayed at the premises.

On 18 November, 2023, the Licensing Department received an application for a new sex establishment license for OMG Adult World, which could be viewed at Appendix 1.

Stephen Leinster currently holds a sex establishment license at 528 Sheffield Road. This premises had not been subject to any complaints, breaches of license or any investigations by Council Licensing Officers.

Mr Leinster was seeking to update his logo to the signage that had previously been approved at committee.

*RESOLVED –

1.   That the application for a sex establishment license be granted for OMG Adult World, 26 Knifesmithgate, Chesterfield, S40 1RF.

2.   Signage;

·        The advertising board to be placed above the premises shall be as the proposed signage in the report, but the silhouette of the female to be removed.

·        The premises may have a shutter box with OMG Adult World website or such website may be placed on the advertising board above the premises.

·        The colouring scheme of the advertising board shall be in keeping with the building in which it is situated and the area and preferably black and white colouring only.

·        No advertising board is to be placed on the part of the building in which the premises are situated which protrudes out above the footpath outside the premises.

·        The premises may have further signs on the door and on one window of the premises which gives opening times for the premises and which advises of the adult content within the premises.
