RESOLVED –

That the Minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory

Committee held on 7 February, 2018 and 14 February, 2018 be

approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

To move “That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following item of business on the grounds that it involves the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act".

RESOLVED –

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Officer submitted a report for Members to consider whether an application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence by Mr David Whalley could proceed.

Mr Whalley attended the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That Mr Whalley’s application for a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire

Driver’s Licence be granted initially for a probationary period of 12 months, commencing with 12 penalty points, and subject to satisfactory completion of the application process.
