Minutes of the Meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 20 December, 2017.

RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 20 December, 2017 be approved and signed as a correct record by the Chair.

RESOLVED – 

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the ground that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

The Licensing Enforcement Officer submitted a report for Members to consider a review of the Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence held by Mr Soleyman Pourmand.

Mr Pourmand attended the meeting.

* RESOLVED –

That Mr Pourmand’s Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence be suspended for a period of two weeks and that Mr Pourmand be required to arrange a meeting with the Licensing Section to review the Council’s policy requirements for holders of a Hackney Carriage/Private Hire Driver’s Licence.

* RESOLVED –

That consideration of the review be deferred to meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee on 14 February, 2018 to provide opportunity for Mr Howard to attend.
