Minutes of the Meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 12 April, 2017.

RESOLVED –

That the minutes of the meeting of the Appeals and Regulatory Committee held on 12 April, 2017 be approved as a correct record and signed by the Chair.

RESOLVED -

That under Section 100(A)(4) of the Local Government Act 1972 the public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business on the grounds that they involved the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Paragraph 1 of Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

Pursuant to Minute No. 174 (Appeals and Regulatory Committee 2016/17) the Committee considered a request from tenants for a review of the Council’s decision to terminate an introductory tenancy.

The appeal was heard in accordance with the Council’s Introductory Tenant’s Procedure. The tenants and their representative attended the meeting.

*RESOLVED –

That the officers’ decision be upheld, suspended on payment of the current rent plus £10 per week (including rent free weeks) towards the arrears, until the arrears were cleared.

That the meeting be adjourned to Wednesday 24 May, 2017 to provide opportunity for the tenant to be represented.
